Angelica has a masters degree in child life and has been working as a child life specialist in a hospital setting for a few years now.
Angelica provides child life interventions for children in the pediatric emergency room, inpatient unit, intensive care unit, multi-specialty clinics such as hematology/oncology, cardiology, pulmonology and developmental.
Angelica provides therapeutic child life interventions to each patient while creating a comforting environment to assist in coping abilities. She coordinates children’s events, organizes donations, and facilitates support group for patients and their families. She has facilitated “children with chronic illness” support group and now is a co facilitator for the ‘Pediatric Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program’ family support group.
